Mike Brophy - Regional Director, Southern U.S.

Mike Brophy is U.S. Commercial Appraisals' Regional Director for the Southern United States. Mike earned his bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from East Stroudsburg University and has over 25 years of experience in hospitality and real estate.

A native of Philadelphia, Mike has since lived and worked in cities from coast to coast, including New York City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angles, Dallas, Grand Junction, and Atlanta. Mike was Director of Convention Services for the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel, which at the time was the largest hotel in the city of Philadelphia. He held similar positions at the New York Penta and the New York Hilton, two of New York City’s largest convention hotels.

After several years working in the New York City market, Mike rejoined Wyndham International in the Wyndham Garden Hotel division. He assisted with hotel conversions and openings in cities across the country, focusing on the food and beverage components of the new hotels and troubleshooting failing operations. Mike then moved on to become Director of Operations for the Southfork Ranch Event & Conference Center. At Southfork Ranch, Mike supervised events ranging in size from 10 to over 150,000 attendees. Following four years at the Southfork Ranch, Mike took a position as General Manager of the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he helped open and develop all operating systems and menus at the center.

Mike and his wife spend most of their leisure time coaching and cheering their two sons on the baseball diamond and soccer field.
